Oh all the feels! If you follow along with me on Insta, then you know we just announced we are expecting our FOURTH babe! That’s right.. number 4 is coming in hot (literally) in July!
I can’t tell you all the different responses I received at the announcement of Baby P. But the most common one had to be “Oh my goodness how are you going to do it?” Obviously, I’m not quite there as far as doing it, since the baby is still hitching a free ride. But being pregnant with three wild boys is no walk in the park!
But as a pregnant mama of multiples, there are a few tips I will be taking up during the next seven months! And if you are an expecting mama, you should too!
1 | ESTABLISH A SET ROUTINE
If you read this blog at all, you know I preach on this topic. Hey sis, the truth is, it’s so so easy to slip right on out of routine. But these days, with everything going on, it’s a necessity. Pack lunches in the PM. Wake up before the kiddos in the AM. Early bed time at night, so everyone gets good rest!
2 | PLAN, PLAN, PLAN
Plan each day. Hoping to accomplish certain tasks is NOT a plan and will not lead to success! Just because I’m pregnant, doesn’t mean I don’t have businesses to run, communities to show up for, and a family to take care of! Our Begin With Gratitude Daily Journal pages have saved my sanity so much! And I cannot wait to share our full Begin With Gratitude Daily Journal Planner (coming soon)!
3 | DE-CLUTTER
I’m sure it’s no shock that a family of five can collect some junk! With another babe on the way it is a perfect time to shed some of the unnecessary stuff and make room for the important things. De-clutter your space and de-clutter your mind. With four kiddos, I think a de-cluttered mind will be essential.
4 | MAKE A LIFESTYLE CHANGE
Making sure my body is supported with the nutrients it needs is so very important. It’s more than just taking prenatal vitamins. Ridding my body of all the bad so that my body feels good and functions correctly is key! Stay tuned for some healthy recipes for mamas!
5 | GET REST
Did you just giggle a little when I said that! I know, I know! It seems impossible. But it’s important to get adequate rest. Sometimes that means asking for help. I know many nights I take on bedtime by myself or I just push through the mundane day to day stress of kiddos and work. In order to get the rest that Baby P and I need, it’s going to take verbally asking for help!! Don’t be ashamed of asking and don’t feel less than for saying NO! At this stage in life, you can’t do it all and that’s okay!
