This week is packed with all kind of excitement! Not only am I prepping to head out of town at the end of the week plus gather all the outfits for Homecoming dress up days at school. My baby boy turned THREE today and I really just cannot get over it. I have to brag on this little guy. He really is the wittiest, coolest kid! I mean… in an equal to his brothers kind of way. You know, no favorites over here! This boy can talk up a storm, reason a situation to death until he gets his way (he gets that from his mama), and is seriously the happiest kiddo I’ve ever been around. And oh that little grin of his! It can melt a heart in about .3 second. I seriously could talk about this kiddo all day, but I have to share what he requested for his birthday. He wanted treats for his friends. I asked if he wanted a cake to take to school. He said nooooo. I asked if he wanted cupcakes for his class. He said no mama. So, I asked again then buddy what would you like? He said TREATS!
I put my thinking cap on and came up with this adorable Halloween bark and he was tickled to death!! Hello, what kid wouldn’t love chocolate with eyeballs and candy corn?! So we put the bark in little baggies with their little twisties and off he toted them to his class proud as he could be!
Not only did these make the perfect treat for Emmitt’s birthday, they are a great addition to any Halloween parties! Guaranteed to be a hit!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED FOR HALLOWEEN BARK:
white chocolate bark
candy eye balls
sprinkles of your picking
cello bags and twist ties
1 | Prepare your wax paper. Lay paper flat on a smooth surface.
2 | Melt the chocolate bark according to the packet. Avoid over heating. tip: chocolate may clump up if exposed to moisture- make sure all utensils are dry when stirring.
3 | Pour melted chocolate on wax paper. Smooth chocolate until about 1/4 in thick.
4 | Add candy corn, candy eye balls, and sprinkles.
5 | Let cool and harden (about 40 minutes) and break apart!
6 | Bag then up and send them on the way!
How simple is that? The kids went crazy over these! One tip I can give you is to make sure the eyeballs are distributed evenly so that each piece has one- insert eye roll emoji.
